Radisson Hotel Winnipeg

Radisson is one of the best-known names in the worldwide hotel industry, and there’s a good reason for that.  Their attention to detail when it comes to offering consistently high standards of both accommodation and customer service means their guests arrive confident of a relaxing stay in a comfortable room, with all the amenities they need included.  The Winnipeg Radisson continues that tradition of excellence.  Located in the heart of the city, this 263-room hotel has recently undergone a facelift, further improving the guest rooms and facilities in an effort to make every guest’s stay as enjoyable and stress free as humanly possible.

So What’s New?

They’ve started with the bedding. Every single room in the Winnipeg Radisson now boasts a Sleep Number® bed. The firmness of each side of every bed can be fully adjusted by remote control, to provide maximum comfort and a great night’s sleep, and let’s face it. Any good hotel experience starts with a good, restful sleep. Flat screen TVs have also been installed in all rooms, as have mini fridges, microwaves, coffee machines, complimentary high-speed wireless internet access, and even individually operated climate control units. Another addition to the hotel’s facilities will no doubt be popular with the majority of visitors. A Starbucks Cafe was recently opened in the Radisson’s main lobby.

It doesn’t matter why you stay at the Winnipeg Radisson.  Their professional staff are dedicated to ensuring that they do all in their power to insure your stay is everything you hoped and expected it to be.  Take, for example, the morning shuttle the hotel provides both to and from local attractions and places of interest.  When we say, “take it,” we really mean it; the service is free to all guests at the Radisson.  Business travellers working in their rooms will also appreciate the free delivery of a morning paper to their door, the two telephones in every room with voice mail and data ports, and the large work desks with ergonomic chairs.

About the Rooms

All standard guest rooms are spacious, and each now features one king or queen bed, or two double beds, in addition to the other amenities already mentioned.  Those opting for even more space and luxury should consider one of the Radisson’s Executive Suites.  Here, guests have separate bedroom and living areas, as well as little niceties such as a wet bar, kitchenette, full size refrigerator and cordless phones.  Guests staying in these suites also receive a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast (Monday to Friday).

Situated on the hotel’s 12th floor, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the appropriately named “12 resto bar.”  It’s hard to tell what’s more spectacular, the beautifully prepared and presented continental cuisine, or the magnificent views over the city of Winnipeg.  Fortunately, guests don’t have to choose one over the other.  They can have both!  Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. right up to 11:30 a.m., lunch runs from noon to 5:00 p.m., and dinner is available from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.  The Radisson also offers a comprehensive room servivce menu, and of course, there’s the Starbucks Cafe in the main lobby.

The list of the Winnipeg Radisson’s services and amenities runs on and on.  Pet-friendly rooms, the free use of the hotel’s first class fitness centre, and even little touches like an iron and ironing board in every room all go to show that, not only has this hotel made every effort to maintain the Radisson Hotel chain’s standards of excellence, they’re constantly striving to raise those standards ever higher.  For those travelling to Winnipeg on business or vacation, that all adds up to a fantastic facility from which to base their trip.
